... and it all began with the care of the Jewish cemetery with young committed pupils of the rehab center Schleusingen 1996. The condition of the cemetery was unkempt and neglected and so we installed a new fence around the property, filled earth, cleaned the gravestones and planted trees of life.
The Schleusinger stonemason Mr. Körschner was engaged from the beginning by securing the gravestones free of charge. Sponsors from the region donated money or necessary materials.
On November 9, 1997, Wolfgang Nossen, Chairman of the Jewish Community of the Federal State of Germany, inaugurated a memorial stone in front of the Jewish cemetery with the following text:

In 2007, employees of the Schleusingen Rehab Centre built a display board and made it available to the Jewish cemetery, where important information about the cemetery and the individual graves can be read, so that today anyone interested can visit the Jewish cemetery and obtain information.
